PyCon 2006 to be held in Dallas/Addison
Sweetness!PyCon 2006 will be held in Dallas, Texas, from February 23-26 2006. See the PyCon 2006 wiki page for links to the hotel web site and information about the local area. It’s
at the Dallas/Addison Marriott Quorum, right off the Tollway. I
wouldn’t need to stay at the hotel either; it’s a straight shot south.
Yeah, yeah, I’m coming clean. I love Python.
I just grok it, you know. I wouldn’t say I’m a wiz with it, but give me
some code and I can get the general idea of what’s going on. Sort of
like my Spanish, which is good enough for conversation, but not up to
snuff when it comes to deep literary analysis of Gabriel Garcia Marquez
works.
As a matter of fact, like most Python developers, I’ve been playing with Django. It’s pretty slick and I think it’s going to give Ruby on Rails a run for its money. Django has also made me question if it’s worth continuing to learn PHP.
Looking forward to PyCon 2006. Call for papers should go out soon.
PS. Today is also my half-birthday. So wish me a Happy Bi!
