Howard Dean must be employed by the RNC, or at the very least, the White House. How else could you explain today’s verbal diarrhea?

Think about it. Bush decides to hit back in the PR battle over Iraq and lays out a plan from this point forward. Okay, it’s a start, most Americans would figure. I mean, at least he’s addressing what is perceived by most as a losing cause and when any president does that, folks are willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Then here comes the Christmas Miracle!!! As if God himself signified to all of Creation whose side he’s on, He compels Howard Dean (who was doing a good job at keeping quiet) to open his big, fat yap. Bush should easily gain 10 approval points from this.

We can’t win, Dean says. We should quit. We should give up. We should throw in the towel.

If we do, you do realize what that means, right? It means that for the second time in four years, we will have lost a battle to the Wahhabist extremists that want to kill us all. We will admit to the world that a paramilitary group that cowardly attacks Iraqi civilians and American soldiers is a superior fighting force.

Can you imagine the morale boost those Wahhabists would get? Can you imagine the jubilant cries of “Allah Akhbar” in the streets and on extremist websites? Can you imagine Osama or al-Zarqawi smiling at the infidel defeat?

And the Democratic Party is fine with this?

I’m not the President’s biggest fan, but tonight, I’m rooting for him.
