Election Day Breakdown
And now, some 11th-hour predictions for tomorrow:
- Democrats regain control of the House
- Republicans hold on to a slim majority in the Senate
- Rick Perry wins the Texas Gubernatorial Race, but only with 37% of the vote
- Kinky Friedman doesn’t crack 10%
- David Dewhurst is reelected Lieutenant Governor, the most powerful position in Texas
- All major state-level offices go to the GOP.
Why all major state-level offices? Other than the fact Texas turns whites pink it’s so red, Democrats simply were not buying radio time, where I heard the majority of the political ads. Case in point: I had no idea who Kay Bailey Hutchison was running against until I walked up to the machine.
