Hello, my name is Shawn Borton and this is my blog. At one time, you could find me impersonating a political pundit in my little corner of the web. But as time went on, I grew tired of the sniping and the oneupmanship of both parties. Politics still interests me, but mostly in examining the relationships between the masses and their leaders.
I call myself a writer. For the last three years, I was blessed with the opportunity to make money at it (though it’s the reason that this blog suffered; just not enough hours or will to keep up with it). I may yet get another chance, but for now, I’m content to develop my own stories. In the meantime, I earn my living helping design studios build websites for their clients. I also dabble in photography and aspire to be a filmmaker someday, and I’m a huge fan of heavy metal, hockey, college football and science fiction.
In the past two years, I’ve found religion. I describe myself as a Quaker with a touch of Zen, meaning that I came to the Religious Society of Friends via Zen Buddhism, taking the long way from the Catholic Church.
